Breathing technique to calm down

If a person feels anxious the first thing he should do is to breathe properly. So, you should do the following:

  • Sit upright with overturned head, relax the jaw. If there is no possibility to sit you can do this staying.
  • Inhale deeply and slowly through your nose.
  • Exhale smoothly and slowly through your nose.
  • Before inhaling again, count mentally to five.
  • Keep breathing like this till you feel better and your breathing rate normalizes.
